PARTY ROCK WAS IN THE HOUSE THAT NIGHT!

(obvi this is Geoffrey & Helen's b-side wedding song)

Geoff and Hel, thank you so much for being your outrageously beautiful, wonderful, and superfun selves and having that extraordinary, kick-ass ho down last weekend!  Your love blesses all of us with joy and I'm so so thrilled that you had the time of your lives!

Shoot, crying already, that didn't take long (whatever, Ken ;))...
Tears of delight- I couldn't be happier for you two, or love you more.
Have so much fun in Jamaica and please wear sunscreen, you are both very white people!
Will post more soon, but for tonight- here is the reading that I was honored to read at your wedding ceremony.
I have set you as a seal on my heart <3 xoxo

A reading from the Song of Songs

Hark! my lover–here he comes
springing across the mountains,
leaping across the hills.
My lover is like a gazelle
or a young stag.
Here he stands behind our wall,
gazing through the windows,
peering through the lattices.
My lover speaks; he says to me,
“Arise, my beloved, my dove, my beautiful one, and come!
“O my dove in the clefts of the rock,
in the secret recesses of the cliff,
Let me see you,
let me hear your voice,
for your voice is sweet,
and you are lovely.”
My lover belongs to me and I to him.
He says to me:
“Set me as a seal on your heart,
as a seal on your arm;
For stern as death is love,
relentless as the nether world is devotion;
its flames are a blazing fire.
Deep waters cannot quench love,
nor floods sweep it away.”

So this is what paradise looks like...

There are a million things about this place that are awesome... like the restocked bar in our room that Helen has them fill with Crown Royal, or our Butler Oren or Gay-Ann picking us up and taking us to brunch on the patio or dinner by the beach, but so far I think the best part about Sandals is the unlimited supply of relaxation spots like this one. It's very easy to relax and do whatever you want at whatever pace you want. Oh and I forgot about the swim up bars... Stay tuned. Thursday we swim with dolphins! Cheers. #sothisiswhatparadiselookslike

Wait, There's More...

Let me just take this very quick opportunity to express a bit of selfishness by saying the Arbuckle wedding weekend was an incredible moment in my life as well and I wholeheartedly believe everyone who attended agrees in their own tender way. From Helen’s beautiful dress to Geoff’s zoot suit shoes (which made him dance incredibly well), November 22, 2014 was a day so perfectly scripted for Geoff and Helen’s best-selling love story.
I can write in length about all of the things that were most memorable on this wedding day but no one wants to hear about the amount of chocolate chips you get in each bite of the cannoli cup cakes (yes, I counted).  It was just so damn good! Nothing could have taken away from that perfect day. Granted it did rain, but that didn’t hold back the excitement the bride and groom had all day. I think it rained more at the bride’s maid’s pew…..Meredith.

Classic Geoff - That very moment when Geoff and Helen held hands and began their walk down after getting hitched, it wouldn’t have been Geoff if he didn’t take a quick moment to motion to his fellow grooms men and ushers and give a classic thumbs up as he continued to walk through the isle as if it was the Royal Award Ceremony in Star Wars IV. If you could read the fine print on that very thumb we all know it certainly said “were good, we can drink now.”

Helen – You were absolutely stunning in your dress and seeing you smile from cheek to cheek all day certainly made a few of the guys tear up. Speaking of “cheek to cheek” (Sinatra reference), a classy choice on Eric DeLauro the incredible rat pack singer during cocktail hour. He livened up the night with his SWAG and enjoyable songs; at that moment I thought I couldn’t be happier with the day, until the party really started.

The dancing, the singing, the guitars, food, and Asian lantern balls hanging from the ceiling, Nov 22 is forever a date that is synonymous to Christmas, birthdays, and Geoff’s first time trying a belly special sandwich. The wait staff was friendly, the DJ played amazing music, and the atmosphere was remarkable. Geoff and Helen have always been great hosts and let’s all hope when the time comes a grand house party and baby shower can top that INCREDIBLE wedding day.

Love you guys,
Ken D.

The Best Weekend of My Life

Helen and I down on the brew floor of Brown's Brewing Company.
The more I think about it, there are few words that can truly describe Helen and I's wedding weekend. As I sit here anxiously waiting to jump on a plane to Bob Marley land, I'm flooded with a lot of memories, feelings and smiles.

It's hard to describe it all, but the best way I've come up with is this weekend was a crossroad. There were parts of each and every 28 years of my life in that room last night, in the cathedral, around us all weekend. Our family and friends, new and old, were there to celebrate the beginning of the next chapter of Helen and I's life together.

It went too fast, so the best way to relive it is through the stories we all have. So if you come across this blog, feel free to leave a memory, or 20. Post pictures. Whatever you want. Helen and I will also post pics from Jamaica.

We can't thank you all enough for being a part of our special day. You made it the best weekend of our lives.
